If you’re in Da Nang and the night starts to fall, don’t worry — that’s when the city truly comes alive. From the glowing lights of its bridges to bustling night markets and little surprises you’ll discover while strolling around, there’s always something to do. Living in Hoi An, I’ve had plenty of chances to enjoy the vibrant evenings in this exciting neighboring city.

The atmosphere is unique and offers something for everyone — whether you’re a fan of spectacular shows, delicious food, or just a relaxing walk. Let me share some of my favorite ideas to make the most of your nights here!

1. The Dragon Bridge Fire Show

Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening, the Dragon Bridge becomes one of Da Nang’s star attractions.

At precisely 9 PM, the golden dragon that spans the bridge comes to life, breathing fire and water in a stunning display. It’s a must-see event if you’re in the city.

The best tip? Arrive a bit early to grab a good spot along the Han River. The atmosphere is electric — locals, tourists, and street vendors all gather to enjoy this magical moment, a true symbol of Da Nang’s modernity and pride.

2. Night Markets in Da Nang

Da Nang is full of night markets that become vibrant hubs after sunset, perfect for experiencing local life and enjoying a lively atmosphere. Among them, the Son Tra Night Market, also known as Da Nang Night Market, is a must-visit. Located near the Dragon Bridge, it boasts over 150 stalls offering Vietnamese food, souvenirs, clothing, and even live music performances. It’s the ideal spot to visit before or after the Dragon Bridge fire show, although it’s less crowded during the low season.

Another great option is the Helio Night Market, popular with both locals and tourists. This market features a wide variety of street food with international flavors and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, making it a great choice for a weeknight outing.

For a more authentic experience, head to the Le Duan Night Market, where narrow streets are lined with stalls selling clothes, accessories, and fresh fruit. This market offers a true glimpse into local life and is the perfect place to find affordable items while soaking in the typical Vietnamese market vibe.

This amusement park offers a unique experience with rides, shows, and a festive atmosphere. The highlight of the park is the Sun Wheel, an illuminated Ferris wheel that dominates the night sky and provides spectacular panoramic views of the entire city.

For those seeking a more relaxed vibe, the park also features themed zones inspired by various Asian countries, with immersive decorations that are perfect for an evening stroll. Whether you’re looking for thrills or a laid-back outing, Da Nang Downtown has something for everyone.

The quays along the Han River are an absolute must for experiencing Da Nang’s nighttime charm. Well-maintained and lively, they offer spectacular views of the illuminated bridges and plenty of space for strolling or unwinding.

On the left bank, the Bach Dang waterfront stretches from the Han River Port to the Tran Thi Ly Bridge. Between the Han River Bridge and the Dragon Bridge, you’ll find spacious paved areas perfect for walking, surrounded by flowers and trees. This section is particularly vibrant, with stunning views of the lit-up bridges and nearby sky bars, pubs, and high-end restaurants where you can enjoy a cocktail with a view. Further south, between the Dragon Bridge and the Tran Thi Ly Bridge, new promenades, parks, and snack and souvenir shops are being developed, adding even more to the area’s charm.

It’s also the best spot to catch the Dragon Bridge fire show every weekend.

Finally, don’t miss the Nguyen Van Troi Pedestrian Bridge, located near the Tran Thi Ly Bridge. Built during the American War for military purposes, it’s now reserved for pedestrians and offers a stunning view of the sunset and the city’s sparkling lights.
